WINDOWS TO CHINA
Windows to China! As you pass through the suburban of Beijing, you will be able to experience a piece of Chinese life and culture.  This tour will allow you to view many Chinese customs such as Taiji, acupuncture, martial arts and many other traditions.  You can also walk through the Royal Palaces, hike the Great Wall of China, or spend a night watching the Beijing Opera.
Tour Start Date in 2008: 2008 3/10, 4/14, 5/05, 6/09, 7/07, 9/22, 10/13, 11/03
Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive in Beijing. Meet the group at the airport and transfer to hotel.  Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 2 In the morning, we visit Buddha temples including the Big Bell Temple, Sleeping Buddha Temple.  Afternoon visit to the Royal Garden - the Summer Palace.
Day 3 Visit Niujie Mosque, South Cathedral and White Clouds Taoist Temple.
Day 4 Visit the Guo Zi Jian, Confucian's Temple.  After lunch, we visit the Yonghe Lamasery - the Lama Temple.
Day 5 We visit the Sports School.  Afternoon we visit an Opera school and learn some interesting body signs used in producing Chinese operas. Dinner will be followed by a famous Beijing Opera Show.
Day 6 Visit a local Chinese cooking school to learn how to cook Chinese dishes.  In the afternoon we will depart by coach from Beijing to Baoding in Hebei Province.
Day 7 Visit a rural park in Baoding where hundreds of residents practice Taiji, martial arts or other folk arts.  Visits will include herbal market, herbal processing factory and herbal farmers' home.  Return to Beijing.
Day 8 Forbidden City.  A special excursion is arranged to visit the Village in the afternoon.
Day 9 Great Wall at Juyong Pass, and the Sacred Way.  Peking Duck will be served tonight in the Farewell dinner.
Day 10 Depart Beijing.
